Outdoor area. Place a pole in a parking lot, yard or walkway and see the footcandles on the ground. Compare two fixtures side by side, or tile poles across the whole site.
Interior room. Enter the room, the surface reflectances and a target level. The calculator finds how many fixtures you need and shows the light on the work plane, including light bounced off the walls and ceiling.
Wall & vertical surfaces. Light a wall, sign or facade from a row of fixtures. Let the calculator find the spacing and tilt that gives an even wash, or set them yourself.

About these results
Calculations use the photometric (IES) data measured for each Renova luminaire and are meant for planning and comparing options. They assume an empty site or room with clean, uniformly diffuse surfaces and do not include obstructions, shadows, vegetation, furniture or daylight. Actual results vary with installation, voltage, temperature and lumen depreciation. For a stamped photometric layout or code compliance, contact your Renova representative and we will prepare a full lighting design.
