Privacy Policy

Renova Lighting Systems (a trade name of Day One Industries, Inc.) designs and manufactures commercial LED lighting from 36 Bellair Avenue, Warwick, RI 02886. This policy explains what information we collect through renova.com, our Rep and Customer Portal, and our sales and marketing tools, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to business contacts, sales representatives, and visitors to our website.

We collect only what is needed to quote, sell, and support lighting products and to run our sales network:

Information you give us. When you submit a contact or quote form, create a portal account, or email us, we receive your name, company, job title, email address, phone number, project details, and anything you write in your message. Sales representatives who create a portal account also give us their agency, territory, and sign-in details. If you sign in with Google or Microsoft, we receive your name and email address from that provider; we never see your Google or Microsoft password.

Information from business activity. Our sales team keeps records of the quotes, projects, orders, calls, meetings, and emails we exchange with customers, specifiers, distributors, and representatives. We may also add publicly available business contact details, such as a professional email address or LinkedIn page, to a contact record.

Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider records standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, for security and reliability. Our portal uses a sign-in token stored in your browser so you stay logged in. If we send you an email, we may record whether it was opened or a link was clicked. We do not sell advertising and do not run advertising trackers on this site.

We use information to respond to your requests, prepare quotes and submittals, process orders, provide portal accounts, send order and quote updates, send sales and product emails to business contacts (with an unsubscribe link in every one), keep our network of representatives informed, protect the site against abuse, and meet legal and accounting obligations. We do not use your information to make automated decisions that have legal effects on you.

Renova staff may connect the company's own LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, and Google Business Profile accounts to our internal CRM so that posts approved by Renova management can be published on schedule. When an authorized Renova team member connects an account, we store an encrypted access token and the account name, and we use it only to publish the posts we have approved. We do not read private messages, contact lists, or the content of anyone else's account, and we do not sell or share these tokens. A connection can be removed at any time from the CRM, and it can also be revoked from the settings of the social network itself.

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate, under their own privacy and security terms: website and application hosting and security (Cloudflare), form delivery (Web3Forms), transactional and marketing email delivery (Resend), sign-in providers you choose (Google, Microsoft), and document and communication tools we use in running the business. Where a sales representative or distributor in your territory needs your project details to quote you, we share them with that representative. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights or safety, or in connection with a sale or reorganization of the business.

Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and we honor opt-outs promptly. You can also email sales@renova.com and ask us to stop contacting you. Order, quote, and account messages are not marketing and may still be sent while you have an active account or open quote.

We use only what the site needs to work: a sign-in token in your browser's storage after you log in to the portal, and basic browser settings. We do not use advertising cookies. Third-party services we load, such as Google Fonts and the Google and Microsoft sign-in buttons, may set their own cookies under their own policies.

We keep business records for as long as they are needed to serve you, support product warranties, and meet tax and legal requirements, and then delete or anonymize them. Data is encrypted in transit, access to our systems is limited to staff and trusted representatives who need it, and sign-in tokens for connected accounts are stored encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send payment card numbers or government ID numbers by email or through web forms.

You may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Residents of some states, including California, Connecticut, and Rhode Island, have specific rights over their personal information; we honor those requests for everyone. To make a request, email sales@renova.com with the subject line "Privacy request" and the name and email address you want us to look up. We will confirm your identity and respond within 45 days. If we received your information through a social media login or integration, you can also remove our access from that network's settings.

To have your information deleted from our records, send an email to sales@renova.com with the subject "Delete my data". We will delete or anonymize your contact records and portal account, except for information we must keep for tax, warranty, or legal reasons, and we will confirm by email when this is done.

Our website and services are intended for businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

We may update this policy as our business or the law changes. The date below shows when it was last revised, and material changes will be noted on this page.
